As a National Sales Representative Licensed Agent working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible for accurately placing insurance coverage based on a wide range of products, while constantly maintain and improving sales processes and evaluating risk exposure to align with department objectives and meet company standards.

We trust that as a National Sales Representative Licensed Agent you will: (responsibilities)

  • Solicit and sell various policies to new mortgage loan borrowers, existing portfolio accounts and referral
  • customers via direct mail, telephone, fax, and telemarketing efforts
  • Evaluate property risk to accurately quote and recommend insurance coverage based on property location,
  • company underwriting guidelines and evaluating previous loss experience and credit scores
  • Improve sales processes by analyzing current work flows, identifying and resolving issues within area of
  • responsibility and recommending improvements to streamline procedures, capitalize on best practices and
  • enhance the business
  • Identify opportunities for increased business by effectively presenting sales information, analyzing and
  • communicating results, building and maintaining internal and external relationships and providing information
  • and tools that support the achievement of new business
  • Organize and prioritize work process based on order of importance to meet department requirements and
  • performance expectations
  • Effectively handle business correspondence to resolve day-to-day administrative and operational duties
  • Establish and maintain relationships with lead sources and settlement service providers
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to
  • reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous
  • improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

About you: (requirements)

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED with 2 years relevant experience required
  • Sales experience; homeowners insurance experience; property and casualty insurance experience; increasing levels of responsibility
  • Property and Casualty insurance license required
  • Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance products for multiple
  • states and carriers
  • Relevant trends and information within the industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced writing mechanics, including grammar and sentence structure
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, software and communication devices
  • New and emerging tools and technologies relevant to line of work
  • Escalate issues when necessary
  • Implement planning to prioritize, organize, measure work
  • Work with people at different levels within the organization to accomplish a
  • common goal
  • Keep an open-mind, consider unique approaches and be open to change and
  • considerable variety in the workplace

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Will have responsibilities such as:

  • This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

  • Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device
  • Ability to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher level manager
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as needed
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle if applicable
  • Comply with company policies and procedure

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
