We are searching for the right candidate to join our team as a self-driven, determined Financial Analyst for our Austin Division.

Job Details

Primary objectives of this position:

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of all land related budgets
  • Provide useful and accurate financial reporting on any and all land related transactions
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for use by Division and Travisso JV
  • Assist and support the Land and Finance Departments with financial activities related to land and the Travisso JV

Primary responsibilities:

  • Prepare all monthly JE's and oversee Month End Close process
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for Partners and present in Partner Meeting
  • Update land Cash Flow Projection on monthly basis for forecasting purposes
  • Rebuild JV Proforma and maintain Excel file on an ongoing basis
  • Update and review S&M OH Budget with Marketing Manager
  • Prepare and update Borrowing Base Model for bank
  • Process draw requests for bank loan
  • Code all contracts and input into NewStar Enterprise (NSE)
  • Code pay applications
  • Rebuild contract tracking tool with revised phasing
  • Maintain development budget, including initial set-up of new engineer’s budget with applicable  phase, quantity and price changes
  • Review land budgets for accuracy and ensure that the contract tracking tool and NSE Budget are reconciled each month (includes maintaining the budgets in NSE)
  • Maintain cost to complete and development accruals for life of project
  • Establish and attend monthly land budget reviews (contract tracking meetings)
  • Ensure proper authorization of change forms, budgets, and RSV computations
  • Participate on Investment Committee (PIC) calls as needed
  • Conduct ongoing unit price reviews and analyses
  • Track and reconcile MUD reimbursement costs; coordinate reconciliation with bond engineer
  • Assemble supporting documentation needed for bond sale applications
  • Provide MUD Financial Analyst with information required to support assessed value assumptions
  • Track CIP reimbursements and request funds from municipality on quarterly basis
  • Provide financial support for PIC submittals (DSR’s, LSA’s, TDR’s, budget updates)
  • Prepare Travisso 2 week rolling forecast for Division
  • Respond to financial information requests from bank and syndicate partners
  • Respond to financial information requests from Toll Brothers
  • Maintain monthly lot sale/revenue projections and record all land sales; includes review and approval of HUD-1 Settlement Statement for any land related transactions
  • Maintain home sale projection reports
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
  • Process monthly Check Requests
  • Track and reconcile any bonds or letters of credits issued
  • Maintain deferred profit schedule for Division
  • Maintain RSV schedules for Division
  • Maintain Travisso lot takedown schedule for Division
  • Update monthly Land Bank Report for Division
  • Ensure proper controls are adhered to in compliance with SOX
  • Quarterly Compliance Certificate to Bank - quarterly
  • Quarterly MUD AV schedules for SOX - quarterly
  • Quarterly Forecasting for TM
  • Quarterly CoC and SoV Reports
  • Quarterly accrual of property taxes
  • Semi-Annual Budget Update for Partners
  • Assist with Annual Business Plan
  • Annual Audit(s) - Internal (TM and/or TB), External (Clifton Larson Allen)
  • Annual tax prep with schedules required for tax year ending in October
  • Annual review of HOA build-out budget to determine any required revisions to developer subsidy
  • Complete all other monthly and quarterly reporting as required by Division or Corporate Accounting
  • Additional support functions and special projects as needed
  • Other special projects as needed
